Foreign Trade in Goods of the Lviv region Database contains operational statistical information on key indicators of foreign trade in goods by business entities and individuals of the Lviv region. The information is formed on administrative data of customs declarations (State Customs Service of Ukraine), including goods purchased at ports. The Indicators on exports and imports value are broken down by geographical and goods structure.
The geographical division of information on foreign trade in goods was carried out according to the List of codes of countries for statistical use, approved by order of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine No. 32 dated 08.01.2020.
To record exports-imports of goods by sections and product code, Ukrainian Classification of Commodities in Foreign Trade approved by the law of Ukraine "On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine” was used. Data on exports are provided by country of destination, on imports - by country of origin. The country of destination is the country specified at the time of shipment as the country of ultimate destination. The country of origin will be considered the country where goods were wholly produced or undergone substantial processing.
The geographical distribution of information on foreign trade in goods is carried out in accordance with the List of codes of countries for statistical purposes, which was approved by the order of the State Statistics Service 08.01.2020. ¹ 32.
The value is calculated through the conversion of the value of goods into the US dollars according to the exchange rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine for the day when the customs declaration was filled out. For the goods that are presented via statistical reports, the conversion of the value of goods into the US dollars is based on average monthly and average quarterly official rates for currencies fixed by the National Bank of Ukraine.
Information in the database is published monthly and is operational. Data are updated on monthly basis accordance with changes in the customs declarations. The final data revisions are carried out in May following the reporting year.
For user convenience it is possible to sort data by ascending/descending volumes. There is possibility to save the data as an Excel .xls format. Geographical and goods structure of imports and exports are presented in the diagrams.
